# Prometheus Integration with Splunk On-Call

Hello,

I am trying to integrate Prometheus with Splunk On-Call. While following the Doc: [https://kb.victorops.com/knowledge-base/victorops-prometheus-integration/](https://kb.victorops.com/knowledge-base/victorops-prometheus-integration/)

I receive the error message:  
C:\Downloads\prometheus-3.3.0-rc.1. windows-amd64\prometheus-3.3.0-rc.1. windows-amd64\>prometheus.exe  
time=2025-04-18T22:48:10.393Z level=ERROR source=main.go: 597 msg=“Error loading config (–config.file=prometheus.yml)” f ile=C:\Downloads\prometheus-3.3.0-rc.1.windows-amd64\prometheus-3.3.0-rc.1.windows-amd64\prometheus.yml err=“parsing YAM  
L file prometheus.yml: yaml: control characters are not allowed”

Could anyone please help me resolve this issue. Any insights would be helpful.
