Has anyone had success with the Prom Remote Write Reciever in OTEL

The official version of the Prom Remote Write Receiver in OTEL Collector feels gimmicky and not meant for real production use. There are basic translation problems between otel and prom formats. Wondering if anyone else has run into this here?
