Does anyone have any experience with bot Nagios and Prometheus?
Is Prometheus a worthy replacement/alternative to Nagios?

Yes, Prometheus is a great replacement for Nagios.
It doesn’t work anything like Nagios, but it is intended as a full general use monitoring system.
