We are having the requirement to scrape (import) metrics aggregated by collectd into Prometheus.
The best way we found so far ist the Prometheus collectd exporter. However the last release is almost 2 years old (May 2020) and it requires the setup of collectd exporter as a component of its own.
So I was wondering if there might be a more recent and lightweight alternative.
