Windows Exporter and USB drives

Hi all:

I have alert rules to warn about disks going full.

On a test PC, the Windows Exporter reports volumes C: and E: , which map to local disks. The alerts work fine there.

However, there is a “HarddiskVolume1” volume that I have to filter out manually. I don’t know where that is coming from.

The trouble is, when I attach a USB drive, it gets letter G: , and the Windows Exporter reports it as a normal disk. That does not happen with the Linux/Unix Node Exporter.

I do not want alarms for such external, removable disks. Is there a way that I can automatically filter them out? Preferably on the server side, so that I do not need to reconfigure each monitored PC.

Many thanks in advance,
rdiez
